New Forest Fairy Festival

Fae, Fairy, Faerie..

I am going to the fairy festival this year in August, I can't wait, it's all so exciting!! 
 I would be really missing out if I didn't go!!!

"Away with the Fairies"!! :)

I am too late to attempt to book a stall to show off my fairy hair accessories but if you want to have a look at them they are available in my Etsy shop or in my other online shop 

*please note both these shops are closed at the moment but only until Friday 27th May as I am taking a short break for a few days! :)

Wire wrapped hair garlands in different sizes! 

You can also call these crowns,circlets or hair wreaths :)

Each one is wrapped with florist tape and entwined with mulberry paper roses, wired beads and fairy or butterfly style wings!

Masquerade masks...how magical!

Alice bands hand decorated with real reindeer moss..they look like miniature fairy gardens!

The wings are ready made from plastic and I decorate them with gems and glitter, mount them on the hair accessories nestled amidst moss, gems and fairy dust, they really do look enchanting!

Magical Fairy mask ..enchanting

Do you believe in fairies?

I have been making a mask today, it is a gorgeous blue green pearl base that is hand painted in acrylic paint.

The fairies are resting next to the large ivy leaf.

There is lichen/reindeer moss in dark green and pretty paper flowers, sparkly gems,glitter and fabulous little fairy wings, all sparkly and magical!

 ..please note that no fairies were harmed!

The cute toadstool nestles nicely in the moss and is surrounded with gems and glitter.

All I need to do next is add the ribbon for tying and then I can list it in my online shop and my Etsy shop

It's a perfect accessory for any masked event, especially those that are in enchanting woodlands where forest fairy folk live, also, ..secret garden parties and Faerie Festivals! 

Masks galore! I have been busy

 Fabric drenched in stiffener layered over a mask base and painted silver.

 Veggie tanned leather wet moulded and shaped.

 Hand painted in black, gold and silver, with added gems.

 Gold and purple mask with lots of glitter, a real carnival stunner.

 Shimmering black fabric mask with feathers and veiling.

 Navy blue masquerade mask with fluffy feathers and lots of bling.

 Witchcraft mask, feathers, ribbon and stiffened natural fibers, decorated with witch themed metal charms and cobweb ribbon.

 Scarecrow mask ..made with hessian and black feathers, I used fabric stiffener on the hessian and painted it in copper brown and black.

Green leather medieval mask

I was recently asked to make a medieval mask to go with a green outfit for a festival, it was decided that leather would be the best effect so I set to it and this is the end result!

I cut the shape and then cut out different sized leaf shapes and sewed and glued them into place, some have a shiny bead sewn into the centre to add a glint of shine here and there. It is finished with swirls of gold glitter and black ribbon to tie.

 

I am very happy with the end result, it is soft and will be very comfortable to wear at the festival.
